A Canadian ride-share company has expanded to include service in Summerland and Okanagan Falls.
Uride began serving the two communities on July 10, after the service had started in Penticton in early June. 91大黄鸭 and Vernon have had the ride-share service since 2022.

Trevor Harris, a driver with Uride, says the company is focused on providing reliable service in smaller and mid-sized cities.
He said there is a lot of interest in getting service from Summerland to the 91大黄鸭 International Airport, to Penticton locations and within Summerland.
To use the service, customers must first download an app for their mobile devices and then use that to book a ride. When clients book a ride, they will be able to see how long they will need to wait for their ride. At present, pre-booking is not offered, but this service is in the works.
Harris said the service is looking to hire additional drivers to serve the area. Drivers need to have a Class 1, Class 2 or Class 4 license and a vehicle no older than nine years. He added that the company is offering sign-up bonuses for new drivers, including a guarantee of $1,500 a week for those who join the program.
The Uride ride-sharing service was created in 2017 and serves communities including Kamloops, Nanaimo and Prince George.
