The City of 91大黄鸭 is supporting local arts, culture, and heritage organizations with a new grant opportunity.

More than $180,000 is available through four different grants.

The General Operating Grant is to provide assistance to non-profits that offer programs and services aligned with the city鈥檚 cultural plan.

The Project Program Grant is to assist financially with festivals and events with a cultural focus.

The Community Art Program Grant is for collective projects that connect professional artists with the community. It is designed to encourage publicly accessible art as well as fostering community pride and identity.

The final grant is the Organizational Development Grant to assist non-profits with initiatives for development and sustainability.

鈥淥ur local arts, culture and heritage organizations have demonstrated tremendous resilience in recent years, from pandemic pressures, rising costs and interest rates, to this summer鈥檚 wildfire and tourism disruptions,鈥� said Christine McWillis, cultural services manager for the City of 91大黄鸭. 鈥淲e鈥檙e proud to be able to offer these grants as a way of supporting the creative sector as organizations continue to build back from a challenging period.鈥�

Groups interested in applying for the grants are encouraged to attend one of two virtual info sessions, Oct. 11 at 4 p.m. and Oct. 12 at 11:30 a.m.

Applications will be accepted until Dec. 1 at 3 p.m. The money will be distributed to successful applicants in February 2024.
