Central Okanagan families are encouraged to celebrate Family Literacy Week with a series of free events.
From Jan. 26 to Feb. 2, Beem Credit Union's 11th annual Unplug and Play and Family Literacy Week encourages screen-free activities.
The week kicks off Jan. 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 91大黄鸭's Parkinson Recreation Centre with colouring, bouncy houses, science experiments, crafts, and entertainment.

Other free events throughout the week include skating, Play Time at the YMCA, baby time at local libraries, and slime time at the West 91大黄鸭 library. Find a full online.

The week closes out on Feb. 2 at the Westbank Lions Community Centre in West 91大黄鸭. In similar fashion to the start of the week, families are invited to come out from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for party pencil making, a mystery craft, a kids obstacle course, and live entertainment.
