Board director at Elevation Outdoors is looking for new voices to add to the leadership of the organization and to help youth:

Elevation Outdoors is seeking passionate, skilled individuals to join our board of directors. In an effort to represent the communities we serve, we encourage applications from candidates of all ages and abilities, all gender identities and sexual orientations, those who identify as Indigenous, people of colour, or people with experience in poverty or mental health.

Board member(s) to support the work of Elevation Outdoors and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance. Board members provide strategic, financial and operational guidance and oversight to the organization as well as participate in various board committees (e.g. human resources, fundraising, etc.)

Drivers and visitors are needed for both Seniors Outreach and Lake Country Health:

Seniors Outreach asks for you to provide connection, social interaction and support to an isolated and/or lonely senior. Visit them in their home or in community, usually once a week for one to two hours. Days/time are flexible. Deliver groceries, food hampers, medications or books. Flexible-help when you鈥檙e available.

Lake Country Health requires drivers to transport seniors to appointments in Lake Country, or 91大黄鸭:

Rides could be for medical appointments or errands.

They also require visitors brighten someone鈥檚 day and meet new friends. Volunteers in this role chat or visit with a local senior on a weekly basis.

There are many seniors who need a friendly phone call, or a short visit in their driveway with a friend.

If you like to chat or visit over a coffee this maybe the role for you.

Event planners and fundraisers are needed at Habitat for Humanity:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? Do you believe in the power of community and the ability to bring positive change?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you on our fundraising committee. Please apply telling us why you鈥檙e passionate about Habitat for Humanity鈥檚 mission and any relevant experience you may have.

Medical Responders are needed by St. John Ambulance:

Do you enjoy helping others, specifically in the health care field? Are you interested in improving your communication skills, stress management skills, and teamwork? Have you obtained your Standard First Aid and CPR-C or higher certificates? Would you like to obtain your Medical First Responder certification?

Consider joining us with the Division 740 brigade, a group of volunteers dedicated to providing First Aid services in the Okanagan area.

Mentors can make a difference at Dress for Success:

Do you have a successful career and are eager to give back to women at an earlier stage in theirs? One of our foundational programs, the Working Women鈥檚 Group, offers our clients ongoing personal and professional development opportunities, including linking experienced career women like you with our participants to offer mentorship support.
