Light up the holidays with the Rutland Business Association

The 70-foot Christmas tree will be turned on at 4:15 p.m. on Dec. 1

The big tree at Rutland Centennial Park will be lit up on Dec. 1. 

The annual 91大黄鸭 celebration will feature a market, crafts, live entertainment, and some festive treats ahead of Mayor Tom Dyas pulling the switch to light up the 70-foot Christmas tree at the park. 

Santa will also be there to take pictures with the kids. Parents are asked to r. 

鈥淭his event embodies Rutland鈥檚 vibrant and inclusive community spirit,鈥 said Navjit Khun Khun, president of the Uptown Rutland Business Association. 鈥淚t鈥檚 the perfect way for community members to connect and start the holiday season with joy.鈥

The Salvation Army will be in attendance serving up chili and collecting donations for the Central Okanagan Food Bank. 

鈥淭he holiday season is a time for giving, and supporting organizations like the Salvation Army and Central Okanagan Food Bank helps make the season brighter for those in need,鈥 said Khun Khun. 鈥淭heir work ensures that vulnerable individuals and families in our community feel cared for during this special time of year.鈥

The event runs from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. with the lights being turned on at approximately 4:15 p.m.
