An art display about creative research will be on display at the Lake Country Art Gallery.
Artists Annie Briard, Tara Nicholson, Melany Nugent-Noble, Andreas Rutkauskas, Dr. prOphecy sun and Leah Weinstein have created many different forms of art exploring land-based forms and interdisciplinary practice, developed out of several micro-residencies and informal collaborations.
鈥淚nvestigating the concept of fieldwork as divergent from the Western scientific construct, these artists utilize various forms of art to explore our rapidly shifting environment, including sound recording, data gathering and visualization, sculpture, video and photography,鈥 states Lake Country Art Gallery in a release.
Through their creative means, the audience is to ask themselves about the climate crisis and the notion of fieldwork while viewing the displays.
Entitled 鈥楩ieldworks鈥, the art is on display from Sept. 30 to Nov. 25 with an open reception on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The event is free to the public. The Lake Country Art Gallery is located at 10356A Bottom Wood Lake Road.
