On and off for the past ten years, the Okanogan Humane Society (OHS) has been working with a cat colony located in 91大黄鸭.

Purdy is one of the dozens of cats and kittens who were recently rescued from the colony.

The beautiful snowshoe feline is just under a year old and has some socialization despite living outside and away from humans for most of her life.

Thanks to the volunteers at OHS, several cats and kittens have been humanly trapped, spayed or neutered from the colony. The cats with the potential to be adopted into a loving home, have also been brought to a partner vet to be given vaccines and microchipped.

But helping these felines become healthy enough for adoption takes many volunteers from those on the ground trapping and rescuing these kitties and also those who can take them into their homes to foster them.

These cats and kittens require a loving warm place to recover and to be socialized.

Purdy will be at one of these homes as she is in foster, after receiving vaccines and being spayed, while she waits for her forever home.

During this time, Purdy will learn to get used to humans as she is still trying to figure out what people are all about.

Right now, Purdy is happy to purr and be a pet from time to time, which shows great potential.

She is looking for a quiet home, with older children and a calm environment. Purdy likes other cats but OHS isn鈥檛 too sure how she feels about dogs.

If you are looking to volunteer for OHS as a foster please contact the charity at .
