It鈥檚 been a stressful few months for Luna.
The pretty black and white cat was surrendered to the Okanagan Humane Society (OHS) about a month ago after her owner came to the heart-breaking decision that they could no longer care for her.
OHS said that the six-year-old, spayed female is slowly coming out of her shell.
鈥淲hen Luna first came to us, she was quite scared, wasn鈥檛 crazy about being pet, wasn鈥檛 sure about humans. But after being in foster care for a couple of months, her foster mom tells us she doesn鈥檛 mind being pet, she is able to pick her up for a few minutes at a time, 鈥 said Kaylyn, a volunteer with OHS.
Luna鈥檚 foster mom has seen a lot of improvements in the feline in the last couple of weeks, including Luna waiting for her at the door when she gets home.
OHS believes Luna would do best in a quiet home, or with older children who can respect her boundaries.
This shy kitty appears to be good with dogs but OHS is unsure how she would behave with other cats.
