Hot dog, it’s time to elevate the skills of amateur artists in Lake Country.
This is according to Eyefactory and the Lake Country Art Gallery, who want to work with graffiti artists and paint the bowl at the skateboard park.
The goal is to change the narrative of an amateur artist with a spray can, from the wiener phase to something with a little more technique.
fish: BOWL is an art event that also encompasses a community celebration to “bridge generations through the power of graffiti”, according to the Lake Country Art Gallery.
“Whether you’re a curious beginner or a seasoned senior artist, this event provides a platform to express yourself creatively and learn from the best in the field,” said the gallery.
The event takes place June 8 at 2 p.m. at Swalwell Park, 10050 Bottom Wood Lake Road in Lake Country.
Youth and general participants are invited to collaborate and create vibrant artwork on the skate bowl. Senior artists are also invited to come early at 10 a.m. to try their hand at spray paint and create a masterpiece on the TownWall. All supplies are included.
