PHOTOS: Christmas parade lights up Enderby streets

The parade took place in downtown Enderby Friday, Dec. 6

A dazzling display of holiday fun wound its way through downtown Enderby Friday night.

Hundreds of people came out to watch the Enderby Christmas Parade make its way down Belvedere Street and onto Cliff Avenue starting at 6 p.m. Dec. 6.

A number of vehicles, including fire trucks, were decked out with Christmas lights and holiday blow-ups. Parade-goers could even spot Saint Nick and Mrs. Claus on one of the parade vehicles, which was decorated to look like a sleigh.

At least one city councillor was handing out candy to the little ones during the parade. The lead vehicle was an RCMP cruiser, and the next vehicle was steered by the city's chief administrative officer, Tate Bengtson. Fire trucks brought up the rear of the parade and the streets echoed with the sound of their horns.

The festive weekend in Enderby also had wagon rides, bonfires and food vendors, and a party with Santa took place at the local Legion.
