PHOTOS: Lake Country residents open New Year with Polar Plunge

More than 100 people took part in the dip

A sprinkle of snow and negative temperatures didn't stop a group of dedicated Lake Country residents from jumping into Okanagan Lake on New Year's Day.

More than 100 people gathered at Pebble Beach and ran into the lake at 10 a.m. to celebrate the start of the new year. Some were quickly in and out of the water while other stayed for more than 10 minutes.

This was the first of multiple Polar Bear swims taking place across the Central Okanagan.
