PHOTOS: Penticton Vees, minor hockey players take to outdoor rink

Penticton's winter carnival includes events for local minor hockey players

In celebration of Frost Fest, members of the Penticton Vees and Penticton Minor Hockey Association (PMHA) competed in a series of skills competitions on the city's outdoor rink.

The sun was out Saturday, Jan. 18, Vees and U11 PMHA players took part in skating and shooting events.

Earlier in the day, starting at 8:45 a.m., the BCHL players joined Vees mascot Harvee for a community skate on Penticton's outdoor rink next to city hall.

Festivities were organized for Frost Fest, the city's annual winter carnival, which runs until Sunday, Jan. 19.
