More than 100 animals have been rescued in the North Okanagan alone, in 20204, by a local non-profit.
The Okanagan Humane Society has seen an increase in animals needing care this year compared to last year, specifically in the north region.
Recently OHS took in four senior dogs, all of whom are in desperate need of veterinary care.
The dogs came from all over the Okanagan, including the south, Lake Country, Falkland and 91大黄鸭.
Shadow was one of those dogs who was recently taken in by OHS. The dog was found wandering alone and abandoned on Chase Falkland Road in the Pillar Lake Resort area, his mouth was bleeding and was in clear need of medical attention.
It is believed that Shadow is eight or nine years old and is a miniature pinscher.
Fortunately, Shadow was able to get the medical attention that he needed, he has recovered and now is in the care of a foster home in Vernon.
For those interested in donating to OHS to help dogs like Shadow or if you鈥檙e interested in adopting the senior pup please contact .
