The Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie campaign is back from Nov. 18-24, with Sicamous sold the most locally thanks to help from community leaders such as former fire chief Brett Ogino.

Kindness starts with a smile, and Tim Hortons is serving it up with its 2nd annual Holiday Smile Cookie campaign that runs next week.

Holiday Smiles will be returning to local Tim鈥檚 restaurants, including Sicamous, Revelstoke and all three Salmon Arm locations, from Nov. 18 to 24, in support of the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps and other charities.

Sicamous Coun. Pam Beech announced the initiative鈥檚 return at the Nov. 13 Committee of the Whole meeting, where she also commended Sicamous鈥 generosity in the last one.

鈥淲e kicked everybody into the gutter last year with our sales on smiley cookies. We did really well last year, we outsold all through the Okanagan and Shuswap... Tim Horton鈥檚 was blown away,鈥 she said. 鈥淭he support here was great and we鈥檙e hoping to have another week of the same kind of support.鈥

It鈥檚 a tasty way to give back, with goodness baked into every bite of the white chocolate sugar cookies with red and green sprinkles and hand-decorated with 鈥渁 perfectly imperfect white smile.鈥

The Holiday Smile Cookies are $1.50, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to the Tim Hortons Camps and other community groups.
