When thousands of wildfire evacuees were forced from their homes this summer, their basic needs were fed in Vernon.

The Salvation Army provided essential support during the crisis to volunteers and evacuees (including their pets) with food, beverages and clothing.

In recognition of the Salvation Army鈥檚 efforts and assistance, a local automotive dealership is driving forward its appreciation.

Bannister Honda has donated $10,000 to the Vernon Salvation Army.

鈥淏annister Honda is proud to donate this small amount and thank Neil (Thompson, Cadets, Corps. Officer) and his team for their outstanding efforts, and support of our community,鈥 said Pat Loehndorf, Bannister general manager.
