It's almost time to say goodbye to Penticton farmers' markets in 2024.
The last one of the year, the seasonal Winter Farmers' Market, comes to Cherry Lane Shopping Centre on Dec. 14.
Organized by the Penticton Farmers' Market — the group that hosts events in the city's downtown core every Saturday from April to October — this weekend's gathering will feature around 50 vendors.
Shoppers can expect to meet local farmers with fresh produce, eggs, and meat. Baked goods, treats, cider, spirits, and arts and crafts, all made locally, will also be on display and available for purchase.
The event, set to run from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., also proceeded at the mall last week.
Philip Solman, co-manager of the Penticton Farmers' Market, says there will also be a free draw to win a gift basket at the event.
After Saturday, the local farmers' market will return outdoors on Main Street in April 2025.
