B.C. election candidates from three Central Okanagan ridings met with students on the UBC Okanagan campus, Oct.9.
Those vying for a seat in the Legislative Assembly gathered at the which took place ten days before the final ballots are to be tallied (Oct. 19).
鈥淗aving a diverse group of candidates on campus for the Vote Smart Elections Fair was amazing," said Becca Evans, the communications manager with the UBCO Students' Union.
Candidates from the region who showed up to speak with young voters were:

Independent - Michael Humer

The candidates were invited to the campus by the UBCO Students' Union, who has made a push to not only educate, but also to encourage students understand that, "every vote matters."
"It felt like there were really good, productive conversations happening, and the biggest issue students brought up was definitely housing affordability," said Evans.
