Pack your knives and head to a Top Chef Okanagan dining experience

Watching chefs from across Canada compete for winning dishes in the Food Network鈥檚 Top Chef reality TV series, can be a jealous endeavour from your living room couch.

Eyes glued to the tube as chefs serve gourmet meals, is a bit different than the plate of cheese and crackers you鈥檝e served yourself at home.

However, now there is an opportunity to be on the receiving end of those mouth watering dishes when Derrick鈥檚 Steakhouse and Globe Restaurant come together to offer a unique series of culinary events featuring acclaimed Top Chef season 7 winner, Paul Moran.

Owner of Derrick鈥檚 Steakhouse and Globe Restaurant said Chef Moran will be returning to his Okanagan roots this December when he collaborates on two dining experiences.

鈥淎t Derrick鈥檚 Steakhouse, Chef Moran and Chef Alex Lavroff will share the kitchen to present a five-course West Coast-inspired dinner with optional wine pairings, highlighting top local ingredients. At Globe Restaurant, guests can enjoy a four-course, Tantalus Vineyards wine-paired dinner, coinciding with the launch of the 2024-25 ski season,鈥 said Derrick. 

Originally from the Okanagan and now based on the coast, Chef Moran has captivated audiences nationwide with his distinctive culinary style.

Event Details:

Dinner at Derrick鈥檚 Steakhouse

  • Date: Wednesday, December 4, 2024
  • Menu: Five-course dinner with amuse-bouche
  • Price: $149 per person, with optional wine pairing available

Tantalus Vineyards Winemakers Dinner at Globe Restaurant, Big White Ski Resort

  • Date: Friday, December 6, 2024
  • Menu: Four-course dinner with wine pairings included
  • Price: $139 per person

Globe Restaurant will also be hosting a series of wine events on the weekend of Dec. 6, including a Tantalus Vineyards Winemakers Dinner with Chef Moran, a Winemakers Lunch with an exclusive tasting of 1 Mill Road Wines on Saturday, Dec. 7, and a 鈥淏ubbles and Brunch鈥 event on Sunday, Dec. 8.
