Car enthusiasts are revving up as an annual car show rolls back into town this Summer.
Princeton is set to host Show and Shine 2025, the third edition of the classic car show celebrating the timeless allure of chrome and horsepower. The two-day event of automotive nostalgia will take place on Aug. 29 and 30, transforming the streets into a vibrant showcase of vintage rides, as well as live music and fun for the whole family.
Revived in 2023 after a hiatus due to the retirement of the organizer, Show and Shine has returned to being a staple on the community calendar. This year's event kicks off with a swap meet on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by the main car show and another swap meet on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Therese Grgich, member of Princeton Show and Shine, said they are continuing to improve as they enter their third year of being at the helm of the event.
"We hope to improve yearly and are expecting 200 cars this year," she said. "We have a new logo, a new Facebook page, and we also have food trucks coming and balloons for the kids."
Grgich added that they are still in the early planning stages of the event, but promises that it is shaping up to be a good one.
Car registration is $25 and food vendor registration is $50. Registration links will be available at a later date on the Princeton Show and Shine Facebook page.
The beneficiary of this year's Show and Shine has not been selected yet, but all proceeds will go to a worthy cause.
"We want to showcase our beautiful little town, and a wonderful group of volunteers and amazing sponsors help to achieve this," Grgich said. "We promise sunshine, amazing cars, trucks and music."
