Chuckle for charity on May 30 in Penticton when three hilarious comedians take the stage at The Hub on Martin.

Train Wreck Comedy is bringing Tim Nutt to the South Okanagan for an evening of side-splitting entertainment all in support of the Dragonfly Pond Family Society.

鈥淭rain Wreck Comedy is all about spreading joy, embracing inclusivity, and strengthening community ties,鈥� said Rob Balsdon, owner of Train Wreck Comedy. 鈥淚f we can lend a hand in raising awareness and funds for local charities like Dragonfly Pond Family Society through a night of hilarious comedy, count us in every time.鈥�

Nutt isn鈥檛 your average comedian, said Balsdon, who describes the man as a comedic explorer with an innate ability to provoke uproarious laughter.

鈥淭hink of a blend between Billy Connolly and George Carlin, and you鈥檒l understand the comedic force that is Tim Nutt,鈥� explained Balsdon.

Eryn Wiedner the program coordinator at Dragonfly Pond Family Society said funds raised from the comedy night will go directly toward running the society鈥檚 programs that make a difference in the lives of families.

鈥淚t has become more challenging to raise funds in recent years and our program costs have increased and our membership is ever-growing. We hope to raise $5,000 at this comedy night and most importantly, we are looking forward to a fun evening,鈥� she said.
