A vehicle crash knocked out service to Vernon's online concert and events operations this week.
The Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre (VDPAC)鈥檚 Ticket Seller box office is now back online after the Nov. 19 crash.
"Internet service was interrupted early-Tuesday morning when it appears a large vehicle travelling on 39th Avenue contacted and severed the over-hanging fibre optic cabling at the power pole located at the north end of the Performing Arts Centre," said Jim Harding. VDPAC executive director.
The disconnection knocked-out the VDPAC鈥檚 highspeed internet and Ticket Seller鈥檚 online ticket sales, with three major concerts scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
"Ticket Seller estimates that 80 per cent of all event tickets are normally purchased online," said Harding.
Services are back up and running now at ticketseller.ca, where seats are still available for two of this weekend鈥檚 three live concerts.
Jann Arden's Christmas Tour Saturday is sold out, but there are tickets available for tonight's Back to Black: The Passion of Amy Winehouse tribute concert, featuring Canadian singer Heidi Munro.
There also tickets available to see Danny Michel & Steve Poltz 2024 Canadian Fall Tour Sunday.
"The VDPAC and Ticket Seller box office sincerely regrets the inconvenience of this interruption, but assures all patrons that everything within our direct control has been done to restore service as soon as possible," said Harding. "Thank you for your patience and continued support!"
