The Arrow and Slocan Lakes Community Services medical bus slipped off Highway 6 on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

Slippery conditions almost prevented Nakusp residents from making their appointments in the Okanagan on Wednesday, Jan. 8 but some Good Samaritans came to the rescue.

The Arrow and Slocan Lakes Community Services (ASLCS) medical bus was driving 10 people to Vernon and 91大黄鸭 when the bus slipped off Highway 6 into a ditch about 15 kilometres past the turn off to Edgewood.

Slushy and slippery conditions caused the bus to crash. Thankfully, no one was injured and the bus didn't sustain any damage.

Some travellers saw the crash and stopped to make sure everyone was safe, and even stepped up by taking some of the passengers to Vernon and 91大黄鸭 so they could make their appointments on time.

ASLCS also sent three vehicles as well as executive director Tim Payne, and staffers Shannon Roberts and Falk Elmrich, who picked up the rest of the passengers. They got everyone to their appointments, picked everyone up and everyone got home safely.

Nakusp RCMP, including head of the detachment Cpl. Paul Britton as well as Yellowhead Road and Bridge (YRB) also attended the scene. North Nakusp Towing sent a tow-truck, which got the bus back on the road.
