Peachland will be rocking around the Christmas tree for a good cause on Friday (Dec. 13) night.

A group of residents called the Peachland Angels, in partnership with Peachland Elementary, is raising money to help local families in need this Christmas. The Edgewater Bar & Grill on Beach Avenue will host the Peachland Christmas Wish event, featuring the acoustic classic rock duo The Boogie Men and special guests The Geezer Pleazers.

鈥淚t鈥檚 $30 a ticket, which includes the famous Edge Burger and a beverage of choice,鈥� said co-organizer Farid Nouisser.

Most of the proceeds will go toward providing a brighter holiday season for several Peachland area families, Nouisser explained. 鈥淲e are also raffling prizes so that we can generate some more money and hopefully help more families.鈥�

He added that many local businesses have donated prizes for the raffle. 鈥淓veryone is pitching in. Charity starts at home, so that鈥檚 what we鈥檙e doing this Christmas.鈥�
