Highway 1, from Rogers Pass to Eagle Pass near Revelstoke, is under a rainfall warning,

The deluge of rain is continuing on Sunday, Oct. 20, where 50 to 100 mm of rain is expected to fall.

Motorists should be on the lookout for hazards such as water pooling on the road, swollen rivers and creeks, and increased risk of washouts, rockfall and landslides.

Rain over Upper Arrow Lake should taper off near noon, while the atmospheric river will continue to bring a prolonged period of heavy rain to the West Columbia region and Rogers Pass area near Revelstoke.

If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
