As Angela and I meet to chat at Canoe Coffee Roasters, I ask her where her favourite place is in the whole world. Her answer? 鈥淎nywhere with my dog and my man.鈥�

Angela was born in Smithers, but grew up in 91大黄鸭. 鈥淚鈥檝e tried moving away, but always come back. 91大黄鸭 will always be home to me.鈥�

While getting her LL.B and MBA at the University of Saskatchewan, Angela played on the women鈥檚 hockey team. 鈥淚t was an amazing experience,鈥� she says. 鈥淧laying any sport at a high level exposes you to opportunities that you otherwise wouldn鈥檛 have, like travelling and meeting new people. I think that hockey was an outlet for my competitive edge. Once I quit playing, I realized that it wasn鈥檛 the game that made me competitive, it was something that lives in me. Now, instead of a competitive sport to fill that void, I just find new ways to challenge myself.鈥�

Asked what fires her up about her work with the Jane Hoffman Group, she says, 鈥淚t lights me up when I get to work with other people who are truly passionate about what they do 鈥� I find other people鈥檚 passion contagious.鈥�

And what鈥檚 the best advice she鈥檚 ever been given? 鈥淚t鈥檚 something that is captured in a quote that sticks with me: 鈥楬ow you do anything is how you do everything.鈥� I think this speaks to integrity and the importance of being honest and consistent with your actions, which is something my Dad taught me.鈥�

When it comes to style, it鈥檚 all about confidence for Angela:

鈥淚 find I will more often notice someone鈥檚 confidence than the brand of clothing they are wearing.鈥�

Film or TV show that inspires your style or that you just love the style of: 鈥淐laire Underwood from House of Cards. Her character is questionable but her style is classic.鈥�
