A night of art, performances, and experiences is taking place in 91大黄鸭 on Saturday, Oct. 5.
Nuit Blanche, translated to White Night, has been happening in the 91大黄鸭 since 2013, thanks to the Centre Culturel Francophone de l鈥橭kanagan (CCFO).
This year's theme is 'Through the Stitches', "threads together an array of artistic styles, mediums, and performances, each connected by the intricate fabric of human expression," said a press release.
Included in this year festivities are illuminated visual arts of Holly Dagenais at the Tourism 91大黄鸭 Visitor Centre, and Dylan Baker and Zoe Turcotte at the Rotary Centre for the Arts, poetry by Inspired Word Cafe, drag artists Mister Sister and an interactive dance by Move Better in Stuart Park, silent DJs and much more.
鈥淣uit Blanche started in Paris and Montreal in the early 2000鈥檚 and spread quickly all over the world," said executive director Helene Girardot. "For over 10 years, the CCFO has shared this tradition with the community and brought together so many creative disciplines and artists into one cohesive and magical experience."
The event is taking place at multiple venues around town.
