Lake Country residents can find out more about the district’s draft financial plan during a town hall budget meeting on Jan. 23.
In December, council was presented with three property tax increase figures of 11.59, 10.02, and 8.96 per cent.
Staff is recommending 10.02 per cent.
Residents were hit with a 17.05 per cent property tax hike in the 2023 budget, driven in part by the district being responsible for 90 per cent of policing costs, inflationary pressures, and a rise in wages, supplies, and other costs.
Property owners can submit questions in advance, and watch a live stream of the meeting, on the .
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in council chambers located at 10150 Bottom Wood Lake Road.
