In November 2023, the province announced that 91大黄鸭 would be one of the first to have tiny homes to house those experiencing homelessness. The project will be run by the John Howard Society at 759 Crowley Avenue. The village of 60 tiny homes is sandwiched between industrial businesses, and the rail trail encampment, also known as Tent City on Weddell Place.
A second site of 60 tiny homes, also owned by the city, was announced on Nov. 30 at 2740 Highway 97, north of Enterprise Way.
