UPDATE: Crash causes power outage in Lake Country

UPDATE: 4:10 p.m

The estimated time for power to return to the 205 BC Hydro customers who are in the dark following a collision in Lake Country is 7 p.m.


More than 200 BC Hydro customers are without power Friday afternoon following a collision in Lake Country. 

The crash happened at about 2:15 p.m. at Camp and Bond Road.

The collision is responsible for the outage according to BC Hydro. A crew is on the way to restore power, however, there is no estimated time of when the lights will turn back on. 

BC Hydro customers living south of Seaton and east of Tyndall Road as well as north-west of Okanagan Centre Road are in the dark.

It鈥檚 unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.
