Over 150 people attended the annual Move to Cure ALS in 91大黄鸭 on June 9.

Held in City Park, City Councillor Loyal Wooldridge welcomed the crowd before passing the mic to the ALS Society of BC's Executive Director Donald Miyazaki.

"We work with about 600 ALS patients all year long. There's about 450 at any given time that are battling ALS in British Columbia and the Yukon," Miyazaki said.

The walk officially started at 11 a.m. and was lead by Team Truch.

Before the walk began, over $33,000 had been raised toward the $50,000 goal.

More funds were collected through a by-donation barbecue lunch and a silent auction.
