91大黄鸭 International Airport helps launch aviation careers

Two students will get a flying start in pursuing a career in aviation or aerospace thanks to scholarships from 91大黄鸭 International Airport (YLW).

鈥淭he YLW Scholarship Fund is designed to encourage the next generation to pursue a future in aviation and aerospace,鈥 said Sam Samaddar, CEO of YLW. 鈥淭here are countless different opportunities in aviation with careers ranging from aircraft maintenance, air traffic control, airport management and many more. By supporting local students, we are investing in the future of aviation and the continued growth of the Okanagan.鈥

The scholarships are worth $3,500 each. The fund is managed by the British Columbia Aviation Council (BCAC), which is offering more than $150,000 worth of scholarships and other support in 2025. 

Applications are open until May 11. Those pursuing a career in aviation and aerospace are encouraged to apply through the .
