91´ó»ÆѼ RCMP remain at residence of Friday morning's 'serious incident'

91´ó»ÆѼ RCMP remain at a home in the 700-block of Saucier Avenue on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 25. Early on Friday morning, a "serious incident" took place in the area.

Nearly 36 hours after what 91´ó»ÆѼ RCMP called a "serious incident" took place in the 700-block Saucier Avenue, officers remain at the scene Saturday afternoon.

Around 3 p.m. on Jan. 25, three RCMP vehicles were at the house behind the Great Canadian Oil Change. The house is also still lined with police tape.

The "serious incident" took place early Friday morning, Jan. 24 and prompted a response from RCMP, the Southeast District Emergency Response Team (ERT), and emergency services. Officers were notified around 4:15 a.m. 

While officers are still tight-lipped as to what exactly happened at the scene, one person was taken to hospital on Friday morning as a result of the incident. The person's injury status is unknown.

RCMP told the public on Friday that there is no danger to the public's safety.
