Denciti Developments, the owners of 91大黄鸭 Springs Golf Course, anticipate presenting redevelopment plans for the site in early 2025.

In a statement, CEO Garry Fawley said the company has been consulting the community for the past 18 months to gauge its current and future needs.

鈥淭hese conversations have helped guide us as we put together a thoughtful, comprehensive plan for the property, designed to benefit the entire community,鈥 Fawley stated. 鈥淥ur development application will bring together a mix of employment and recreation spaces, offering much-needed jobs while significantly enhancing year-round recreational use of the property.鈥

Fawley also highlighted that the plans include a business park aimed at supporting local economic growth and aligning with 91大黄鸭鈥檚 Official Community Plan goals for the Gateway area.

鈥淩ecreation and open space will play a central role in the design, including a 9-hole golf course, a 12-court pickleball facility, and publicly accessible green space with a trail network that follows existing golf features,鈥 Fawley said.

91大黄鸭 Springs is expected to reopen as a 9-hole course in 2025, with plans to secure a long-term lease tied to the approval of the redevelopment.

鈥淲e remain committed to fostering open dialogue with city council and staff and ensuring transparent community engagement every step of the way,鈥 Fawley added.

On Dec. 3, the City of 91大黄鸭 issued a media release from Mayor Tom Dyas, stating that the city had engaged in discussions with Denciti to purchase the property at 480 Penno Road and explore options to maintain its use as a golf course but was ultimately unsuccessful.
