The Revelstoke RCMP has launched an investigation after an individual with a gunshot wound was dropped off at the Queen Victoria Health Centre Thursday, March 14.

In a press release, the RCMP stated that the individual who is 鈥渨ell known to the police鈥� arrived at the hospital at approximately 6 a.m. Thursday morning. The press release also said that 鈥渁 possible scene has been identified.鈥�

鈥淭he investigation is in its early stages, however, it is believed to be an isolated incident, with no threat to the public at this time鈥�, said Cpl. James Grandy, BC RCMP spokesperson.

The individual鈥檚 injuries were non-life-threatening, and the RCMP said it is working to 鈥渁scertain the details鈥� of the occurrence.
