The work will address damage to the dock and its lakebed foundation, Peachland鈥檚 southern boat launch at T Dock and Doggie Beach will temporarily close for repairs starting Monday, Dec. 9.

The work will address damage to the dock, ensuring the area remains safe and functional for future use. The project, led by Okanagan Dock and Dive, involves replacing the existing non-floating dock and repairing the damaged concrete base beneath the lake鈥檚 surface.

According to the District of Peachland, the repairs are expected to be completed within a week. During the closure, boaters can use the nearest alternative launch, located on Beach Avenue across from 8th Street.

While the boat launch will be closed, the nearby dog park at Doggie Beach will remain open throughout the construction period. Visitors are urged to exercise caution around the work zone and to keep pets on a leash near active construction areas.
