Snowfall warning in effect for Coquihalla Highway as 15 cm forecasted

The Coquihalla Highway has a snowfall warning in effect as 15 cm of snow is expected.

A snowfall warning has been put in place for the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt by Environment Canada.

On Friday, Nov. 22, the stretch of highway is expecting 15 cm of snow. Moreover, strong wind gusts are expected periodically, which could limit traveller's visibility. 

"Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow," said Environment Canada.

Weather can change quickly in mountains causing sudden hazardous conditions.
