A small fire was quickly extinguished inside a bedroom of a four-plex on Coopland Crescent.
Fire crews had to break down the door of the residence as no one was home when the fire started.
The blaze was confined to one unit.
Platoon captain Corrie Lang said there were no injuries and no animals were inside the unit.
It’s unclear what started the blaze and a fire inspector has been called to the scene.
Smoke can be seen coming from the second storey window of a four-plex building at 722 Coopland Crescent.
Fire crews responded to the area just before 11:30 a.m. Monday.
Several people were standing outside of the home as crews arrived on scene.
