Twelve Lake Country families were handed the keys to their Habitat for Humanity homes in August.

Twelve families in Lake Country were handed keys to their brand new Habitat for Humanity built homes in August.

Habitat for Humanity Okanagan CEO Andrea Manifold commented that the day was about 鈥渆mpowering families with a strong foundation for their future.鈥 

The new homes were made possible with support from the federal government. Habitat for Humanity helps address affordable housing shortages across the province with its projects. 

Former Federal Housing Minister Sean Fraser stated the organization, and others like it, are invaluable partners in working to end the housing crisis and ensure that all Canadians have a safe and affordable place to call their own.
