It’s going to be a busy weekend ahead for the 91´ó»ÆѼ sports scene.

91´ó»ÆѼ Rockets

The 91´ó»ÆѼ Rockets continue their five-game homestand by welcoming the Prince George Cougars and Medicine Hat Tigers to town.

Going into the weekend, the Rockets sit second in the B.C. Division and seventh in the Western Conference with a 2-3-1 record.

Meanwhile, Prince George comes into the game as the best team in the West with a 7-2-0 record.

The Cougars are ranked seventh in the entire Canadian Hockey League (CHL) and lead with 51 goals scored in their nine games.

These two teams have already faced off twice in Prince George, who took both games against the Rockets 3-2 and 8-1.

Saturday night is ‘Pink the Rink’ night at Prospera Place in support of the Canadian Cancer Society.

For the 12th time, the Rockets will wear pink jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game with all proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Medicine Hat is currently fourth in the Eastern Conference with a 4-2-1 record.

Both Friday and Saturday’s games at Prospera Place will start at 7:05 p.m.

West 91´ó»ÆѼ Warriors

Coming off of a split weekend against Salmon Arm, the West 91´ó»ÆѼ Warriors will take on Prince George and Merritt this weekend.

On Friday night, the Warriors will welcome the Prince George Spruce Kings to Royal LePage Place in West 91´ó»ÆѼ.

The Spruce Kings currently sit last in the Interior Conference with a record of 1-3-1. The Warriors are fourth in the conference with a 4-2 record.

Friday night is also Hockey Fights Cancer night at the Warriors game, where the team will wear specialty purple jerseys, which will be up for auction as the game goes on.

A portion of the money from the auction will go towards the Canadian Cancer Society.

Puck drop is at 7 p.m.

West 91´ó»ÆѼ will travel down the Okanagan Connector on Saturday to take on the Merritt Centennials on Oct.14.

Merritt sits one spot behind the Warriors, with a 4-3 record on the season.

Puck drop is at 7:05 p.m.

91´ó»ÆѼ Chiefs

It’s a one-game weekend for the 91´ó»ÆѼ Chiefs, who welcome the Beaver Valley Nitehawks to town on Friday night.

Beaver Valley has been a powerhouse so far this season, sitting at the top of the Neil Murdoch Division with a 4-0 record. The Chiefs are fourth in the Bill Ohlhausen Division with a 2-4-2 record.

Puck drop at Rutland Arena on Friday night is at 7 p.m.

Okanagan Sun

Saturday marks the last game of the regular season for the Okanagan Sun, who head to Chilliwack to take on the Valley Huskers.

The Sun goes into the weekend with a 7-1 record, sitting second in the British Columbia Football Conference (BCFC) and ranked fourth in the country.

Only the Westshore Rebels are ahead of the Sun with a 9-0 record.

Game time on Saturday is at 2 p.m.

Rutland Voodoo

It’s an all 91´ó»ÆѼ battle as the Rutland Secondary School (RSS) Voodoo football team takes on 91´ó»ÆѼ Secondary School (KSS) on Saturday night.

RSS is currently the fourth-ranked team in AAA high school football in the province as they have started the season 2-0. KSS is 1-1 on the year.

Kick-off is at 6:30 p.m. at the Apple Bowl on Oct. 14.
