The largest youth rugby Sevens Tournament in Western Canada is returning to Kamloops.
Kamloops 7s takes place at McArthur Island Park on Sept. 21-22. The tournament is designed for girls and boys teams in the U14 to U18 categories.
More than 130 teams will participate and will be divided into male and female divisions with a maximum of 16 teams per division:
鈥18 Elite 鈥� Invite-based (birth years 2007-2008);
鈥18 Open (birth years 2007-2008);
鈥16 Competitive (birth years 2009-2010);
鈥16 Development (birth years 2009-2010);
鈥14 (birth years 2011-2012).
The 2023 tournament sold out and saw eight teams from Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland, Alberta and Saskatchewan top their divisions.
