Rylie Nicholls fought hard, but sadly the little girl from Lake Country has died after battling cancer.
The five-year-old took her last breath surrounded by family the morning of Oct. 29.
Rylie was hospitalized in 91´ó»ÆѼ the summer of 2021 with leg pain. The toddler was sent to BC Children’s Hospital where tests confirmed neuroblastoma.
The family has lived with the motto ‘Fight Like Rylie’ while the girl went through treatments. Rylie overcame the cancer, but the follow-up treatments and the toll on her body became too much.
The family has decided to wait to hold a celebration of life for the little warrior. The FightLikeRylie Instagram states the celebration will be held May 5, 2024 in 91´ó»ÆѼ. Those who know the family and plan to attend are asked to let the Nicholls know.
Rylie leaves behind her parents Toni and Matt and her brother Cameron. Rylie’s mom believes she’s giggling up in heaven with the other girls suffering from neuroblastoma she became friends with in hospital who passed away before her - Harley, Savannah, and Eden.
A remains open for the family to support them at this time.
