Smiling children and parents piled into the Lake Country Community hall for another year of winter fun.
The second annual Indoor °ä³ó¾±±ô»å°ù±ð²Ô’s Festival had more than 40 vendors providing entertainment, bouncy castles, face painting, drumming games and more, Feb. 25.
One parent also attended last ²â±ð²¹°ù’s festival.
Stella Hundert, a mother of two, said “t³ó¾±²õ year it seems bigger and more ´Ç°ù²µ²¹²Ô¾±³ú±ð»å,â€
Her son enjoyed himself in the many bouncy obstacle courses while her daughter was on an adventure to find a henna tattoo.
“T³ó±ð kids have fun, ³Ù³ó±ð°ù±ð’s nothing else to do in the middle of ¹ó±ð²ú°ù³Ü²¹°ù²â,†she said, adding her and her children were enjoying themselves.
“F²¹³¾¾±±ô¾±±ð²õ from Lake Country and neighbouring 91´ó»ÆѼ and Vernon had a great time at the event last year and ·É±ð’v±ð expanded the event for 2017,†said cultural development coordinator Ryan Donn.
The whole community got involved with the festival as the Lake Country firefighters provided a combat challenge, the LakeCountry Museum did a historical photo booth and there was a teen vocal competition at the Creekside Theatre for older youths.
Fire inspector Eric Degelder set up the combat challenge.
â€Àá³Ù’s always nice to see the little ones carrying the hose and putting the jackets ´Ç²Ô,†he said.
Last year because the weather was warm, the combat challenge had a huge lineup. This year was a little more organized, said Degelder.
More than 10 firefighters volunteered at the course held a tour of the fire truck.
â€Àá³Ù’s also great for the kids to see our faces, ±õ’v±ð been pretty close to visiting ±ð±¹±ð°ù²â´Ç²Ô±ð’s house in Lake Country. When a kid recognizes our faces they can say ‘h±ð²â ¾±³Ù’s that guy from the ³¦³ó¾±±ô»å°ù±ð²Ô’s ´Ú±ð²õ³Ù¾±±¹²¹±ô.’â¶Ä
