Two men and a woman were taken to hospital, two of whom sustained serious injuries during a late night highway collision in West 91大黄鸭.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a two vehicle collision with, what were described as, critical injuries in the intersection of Highway 97 South and Elk Road in West 91大黄鸭 around 10:30 p.m. last night.
Police have learned that a northbound blue Pontiac Sunbird collided nearly head on with a southbound grey Subaru Impreza.
鈥淚t is believed that the driver of the grey Subaru may have turn left into the path of the oncoming blue Pontiac,鈥 said RCMP Cpl. Jesse O鈥橠onaghey. 鈥淎lcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in this crash, however police have not yet to rule out speed as a possible contributing factor.鈥
The driver of the Pontiac Sunbird, a West 91大黄鸭 man, sustained what police described to be serious however non-life threatening injuries during the crash. He was rushed to hospital for further medical assessment and treatment.
The passenger of the Subaru Impreza, a West 91大黄鸭 woman, also sustained what police believe to be serious injuries. She was trapped inside the vehicle and required the assistance of the West 91大黄鸭 Fire Department, who safely extricated her from the wreckage. She was also rushed to hospital for urgent medical care.
The driver of the Subaru Impreza, was not seriously injured. He was transported to hospital for medical assessment as a precaution.

A crash between two vehicles shut down the northbound lane of Highway 97, at Elk Road, Sunday night.
No word as of yet if there were any injuries, but the crash that happened at around 10: 25 p.m. was thought to be severe at the time.
