One of the men believed to be involved in a West 91大黄鸭 crime spree is dead, while the other is now facing a series of charges.
A project investigation led by the 91大黄鸭 RCMP Street Enforcement Unit, supported by West 91大黄鸭 RCMP General Duty, their General Investigations Section, along with the 91大黄鸭 RCMP Serious Crimes Unit, Downtown Enforcement Unit and Police Dog Services, was launched March 30 in relation to a number of offences allegedly committed in the West 91大黄鸭 area.
Investigators established links in the March 26 arson to a residence located at 1191 Peak Point Drive to the armed robbery of Antler Creek Outfitters which occurred on March 28.
鈥淭he project investigation required our officers to travel throughout the RCMP鈥檚 Southeast District between 91大黄鸭, West 91大黄鸭, Merritt and Kamloops, as well as the Lower Mainland and North Districts in Chilliwack and Prince George. The evidence gathered was sufficient to effect an arrest and support charges,鈥 said Cpl. Jesse O鈥橠onaghey, in a press release.
鈥淩CMP investigators have since recovered two firearms in Prince George, allegedly stolen during the Antler Creek Outfitters robbery.鈥
On Friday June 2, 2017 approximately 10 police officers with the 91大黄鸭 Regional RCMP Detachment arrested a 25-year-old Kamloops man, connected to the alleged West 91大黄鸭 crimes. The male suspect was taken into custody in the Kamloops area, and was returned to 91大黄鸭, where he was held in police custody over the weekend.
David Daniel Huck has now been charged with the following criminal offences which include, intentionally or recklessly cause damage by fire, robbery and with intent to commit indictable offence did have face masked. He was scheduled to appear in 91大黄鸭 Law Courts on June 5.
A second suspect had been identified throughout the course of the investigation, RCMP have since made the determination that the second suspect is now deceased.
