Few evacuees have been staying at schools in the district.

According to school district secretary-treasurer Larry Paul around three evacuees have used the facilities overnight so far.

鈥淲e haven鈥檛 had many people take up the opportunity to stay in the gym,鈥 he said, adding most evacuees have found their own accommodations.

The school district has partnered with the Emergency Operations Centre and at KLO Middle School, Rutland Senior Secondary and Okanagan Mission Secondary.

Last week, Paul said if Williams Lake was evacuated, he expected a significant number of people would make their way to 91大黄鸭.

This isn鈥檛 the first time the district has offered its resources to wildfire evacuees.

In the 2003 91大黄鸭 blaze, 91大黄鸭 Secondary School was used as a reception centre.

The size of the schools make it easy for people to access resources as they have large amounts of space and parking which is why the district offers its facilities, said Paul.
