Halloween fireworks show cancelled in Keremeos

Circumstance ‘beyond our control’ stopped the fireworks from taking place this year

There will be no fireworks show in Keremeos this Halloween.

In a post from the Elim Tabernacle Church on 9th Street, they said the annual tradition couldn’t go ahead because of things that had come up.

“Due to a few circumstances beyond our current ability to facilitate, we will be unable to host/set off the community fireworks this year on Halloween night,” the church wrote on its Facebook page. “We realize that it has been a tradition in our village for a number of years now and are disappointed by the current situation, perhaps next year we can bring it back.”

There are no other fireworks shows scheduled or announced in the South Okanagan for Halloween.
