A male suspect has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault with a weapon of a woman inside a Rutland residence on Tuesday morning.
Derrick Kurtis Antoine, 29, of 91大黄鸭 has now been charged with assault with a weapon and fail to comply with a recognizance.
An assault was reported to 91大黄鸭 RCMP at 5:51 a.m. at a residence in the 400 block of Franklyn Road.
Later that day at 10:18 p.m., a 91大黄鸭 Mountie apprehended the suspect in the area of Water Street and Queensway Avenue in 91大黄鸭's downtown core.
Police say Antoine was taken into police custody without incident and expected to make an initial court appearance today.
