RCMP are pleased to confirm that the person of interest, previously reported , has been positively identified by investigators after he came forward to speak with police.
鈥淩CMP strongly believe that any potential risk has been reduced, even eliminated thanks to the conversation police were able to have with the man,鈥� says Cst. Jesse O鈥橠onaghey. 鈥淭he discussion has provided us with clarity into the teen鈥檚 intentions, which has satisfied investigators that they were not criminal in nature.鈥�
The police investigation has now been concluded as no criminal offence had believed to have been committed.
