An online crowd-funding campaign is helping a Lake Country family make further attempts to locate their missing pooch.

Buck, the black lab, went missing on Jan. 19 from Evans Road in Oyama.

Immediate social media attention had residents all over the Central Okanagan looking for Buck, but after 20 days, the dog is still missing.

The dog鈥檚 family put forward $1,000 and then $2,000 as a reward for Buck鈥檚 return 鈥 but had no luck.

Now, a GoFundMe has raised more the $800 to help the family utilize the assistance of a blood-hound team for a potential live trap and to help cover advertising costs.

鈥淏uck, is everything,鈥 writes the family.

鈥淗e is the most handsome, loving, kind dog. He is a part of our family and not having him home has left an unbearable void in our lives, and every day has been a struggle with out him. We have not and will not give up hope on #Buckthedog.鈥
