Multiple RCMP teams along with the Southeast District Emergency Response Team (ERT) are executing a search warrant in Chase on Tuesday morning (April 22).
It's unknown when the police presence started but members of the Chase RCMP and Kamloops RCMP Targeted Enforcement Unit are on scene on Third Avenue in Chase.
"Due to the high-risk nature of the operation, chemical agents have been deployed," Sgt. Kevin McIntyre said in a press release. "Residents in the vicinity may notice a distinct odour, which may cause minor irritation but is not harmful."
RCMP are asking the public to avoid the area.
